The torrential rain has led to significant flooding, submerging several roads and farmlands, and posing a threat to residences.

Many students and pupils were seen seeking shelter under roofs, while others braved the heavy downpour to reach their classes. The flooding caused numerous cars to break down, further hindering movement.

In addition to transportation woes, the inclement weather forced the closure of shops and marketplaces. Traders locked up their shops, resulting in a temporary halt to commercial activities in the city.

Local authorities have yet to issue a statement regarding the situation. Residents are urged to exercise caution and avoid flooded areas. The city of Gusau still requires additional drainage systems and modern waterways to prevent future flooding.
