CP Kolo: Police Operatives Rescue Baby, 6 women in Zamfara

Police operatives have bursted bandits terrorists along Zurmi – Jibia road and rescue a one year old baby and 6 women in Zamfara State.

This was revealed by the police public relations officer (PPRO) SP Mohammed Shehu in a press release made available to SMARTS NEWS

Mr Shehu Mohammed explained that, police operatives received an intelligence information about the abduction of the victims on Thursday at Kadamutsa village of Zurmi local government area of Zamfara State, hence the Tactical Operatives in collaboration with Vigilante today (Friday) acted professionally and gallantly leading to the rescue all the victims unconditionally.

The PPRO noted that the Police operatives mobilized to the location where a search and rescue operation was conducted along Zurmi – Jibiya axis, leading to the rescue of all the 6 women and one old child unhurt. Mr Shehu said the victims were medically checked, debriefed by the Police detectives and handed them over to their families.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf, while commending the Police operatives and vigilante for the successful rescue operation, congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom, and reiterates the Command’s continuous determination to rid the state of criminal activities and apprehend criminal elements committing heinous crimes across the state.
