Former Chief of Army Staff and Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Benin Republic, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd), paid a condolence visit to the ‘Yar’adua family in Katsina on Friday, September 6, following the passing of Hajiya Habiba Dada Musa ‘Yar’adua, the family matriarch.
General Buratai, who was warmly received by Senator Abdulaziz Musa ‘Yar’adua and other family members, offered prayers for the deceased and praised her legacy of strength, humility, and dedication.
He described Hajiya Dada as a mother figure whose influence would be deeply missed, encouraging the family to take pride in the lasting impact she made on Nigeria’s history.
In his response, Senator Abdulaziz Musa ‘Yar’adua thanked General Buratai for his visit and lauded his contributions to national development, peace, and security. He also praised Buratai’s compassion for troops and veterans.
General Buratai was accompanied by Brigadier General SK Usman (rtd) and other dignitaries during the visit.
