Police in Zamfara State have arrested a 30-year-old suspect, Umar Sani, who was found with 100 rounds of live ammunition hidden inside a motorcycle fuel tank at the Yankara border linking Zamfara and Katsina states.

The arrest took place on April 17, 2026, around 7:20 a.m., when officers on routine stop-and-search duty acted on credible intelligence and intercepted the suspect. He was travelling on a red Boxer motorcycle from Abuja to Magami Village in Gusau Local Government Area.
