Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji OPHD in a clearance operation conducted have successfully neutralized some dreaded bandit kingpins to include Yellow Mai Naira and 9 members of Hamisu Black who were terrorising innocent citizens around Mayasa, Birane, Yanbuki, Kwashabawa and other villages around Zurmi LGA, some parts of Kaura Namoda, Shinkafi LGAs and Niger republic.
Reliable sources within the military have confirmed the development to SMARTS NEWS saying the new tactics of onslaught against the recalcitrant bandits will be sustained to ensure restoration of peace in Northwest and country as a whole.
According to the sources the gallant troops have also killed another dreaded bandit kingpin Maikwaahara and his 11 foot soldiers at Marak’e village of Gusau LGA.
The operations was led by the Commander Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji/General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army Major General GM Mutkut along with the commander of 1 brigade Nigerian Army Gusau Brig Gen S Ahmed who is in charge of Zamfara and Kebbi and other military operatives.
