The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended its key leaders for their contributions towards strengthening the party and supporting members, especially during the ongoing Ramadan fast.
This was contained in a communique issued at the end of the party’s State Working Committee (SWC) meeting held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, under the chairmanship of Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani.
The party praised former governors Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima and Alhaji Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi for their role in maintaining unity among members.
It also appreciated former Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari for providing financial assistance and distributing food items to party members across the 14 local government areas.
His Ramadan support included 496 truckloads of assorted food, daily iftar meals for beneficiaries, and cash gifts.
Similarly, the party commended Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, for distributing N500 million in cash to members, including former commissioners and local government administrators.
Hon. Mukhtar Shehu Idris was also acknowledged for donating over 1,000 bags of rice and sugar, while Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu was praised for his assistance to numerous party members.
The APC further recognized the efforts of other leaders, including Malam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, Mukhtar Ahmad Anka, Hassan Muhammad Nasiha, and Bashir Yuguda Gusau, for their continuous support.
The party encouraged them to sustain their contributions and called on other well-to-do individuals to emulate these gestures to promote unity and peace within the party.
