Yari’s Ramadan Ripple: 358 Trucks of Grains Deliver Hope, Bounty to Needy

In continuation of his heartwarming initiative, former Zamfara State Governor and current Senator, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara), is gearing up to spread the spirit of Ramadan across the state.

In a statement signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS by the chairman publicity committee of the distribution Alh Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji said a staggering 358 trucks loaded with a diverse array of food essentials including Rice, Millet, Sugar, and Maize are set to roll out in an unprecedented effort to bring comfort and joy to the people of Zamfara state.

The meticulous execution of this grand gesture is overseen by the Main Distribution Committee, led by Hon. Lawal M. Liman (Gabɗon Ƙaura), who also serves as the Chairman of the A A Yari Political Organization.

The distribution plan covers 13 out of 14 Local Government Areas, with 17,500 households earmarked to benefit from this benevolent outreach. Gusau Local Government Area, the largest target, is set to receive assistance for 22,500 households.

In an announcement made during the reception of a comprehensive report from 250,000 beneficiaries gathered from various Local Governments on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Gusau, Hon. Lawal M. Liman disclosed that the welfare package now includes Rice, Sugar, and Millet, in addition to Maize, recognizing the holy significance of Ramadan.

The successful transportation of over 98% of the commodities to various localities ensures a swift distribution process, minimizing delays for the recipients. Emphasizing the commitment to aiding those in genuine need, especially orphans, widows, and divorcees, the Chairman reiterated that the distribution will commence on or before the commencement of Ramadan.

As the countdown to Ramadan begins, the call for prayers resonates not only for the former Governor but also for the prosperity of the state and the entire nation. The generosity and foresight of Shattiman Zamfara promise to make this Ramadan a season of abundance, unity, and compassion for the people of Zamfara.
