The Zamfara State Council of Chiefs, chaired by the Emir of Anka, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, received the management team of the State Internal Revenue Service (ZIRS) during a courtesy visit on Tuesday.
The visit was led by the ZIRS Executive Chairperson, Hajiya Rakiya Ahmad Dodo, according to a press statement issued by Sanusi Ibrahim S/Yamma, the Public Relations Officer of the agency.
Speaking during the visit, the Emir expressed his gratitude for the engagement and assured the council’s full support for the service’s activities. He praised the leadership of Hajiya Rakiya Ahmad Dodo, highlighting the agency’s notable achievements under her stewardship.
In her remarks, the ZIRS Chairperson outlined the successes recorded since her assumption of office. She emphasized on the importance operational changes and improved revenue generation mechanisms, particularly in areas such as markets, and associations of Kabu-Kabu and Keke-Napep operators.
The visit was attended by all 19 emirs in the state, executive directors, department heads of the revenue service, and principal officers of the Council of Chiefs, among others.
