NDE Trains 30 graduates on environmental beautification in Zamfara

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has trained thirty (30) unemployed youth in Zamfara state on environmental beautification to make them self-reliant.

During the flagging off ceremony of the programme in Gusau, the state coordinator, NDE Gusau office, Malam Umar Muhammad Sanda said the training was to address the problem of unemployment in the country as part of the mandate of the directorate.

According to him, the three months programme, under the Special Public Works department of the NDE will train the unemployed graduates on environmental beautification which includes Plaster of Paris (POP); Hand landscaping (interlocking) and Horticulture Soft Landscaping (Flowering)

He noted that each of the participants will be given stipends on Ten thousand Naira monthly for transportation, saying the NDE under the leadership of the Director General Malam Nuhu Fikpo designed the training programme to create decent jobs to unemployed schools leavers and dropout through the training and development in the landscaping service value chain.
