Zamfara: Bakyasuwa Reaffirms Loyalty to APC, Lauds FG’s Security Efforts

Former Publicity Secretary of Senator Kabiru Marafa’s APC faction in Zamfara State, Muhammad Bello Soja Bakyasuwa, has restated his firm commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of the Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Dr. Muhammad Bello Matawalle, and Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar.

Bakyasuwa, who previously served as Director of Security Matters in Zamfara State and as the immediate past Commandant of the Zamfara Anti-Thuggery Agency, made this known in a statement issued in Gusau on Friday.

He emphasized that he remains a dedicated member of the APC.“I am proud to belong to the APC, and I will continue to contribute to strengthening the party.

“I want the people of Zamfara to know that I have not withdrawn my membership,” he said.

He pledged his continued loyalty to Matawalle and Senator Yari, assuring that he would work for the party’s victory at all levels, including the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

According to him, the APC remains the most formidable political party in the state and across the country, prompting his decision to stay.Bakyasuwa also expressed appreciation to Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency, and Hon. Yazid Shehu Danfulani for their grassroots efforts in strengthening the party.

He added that he cannot align himself with any political group lacking direction and influence.Citing the federal government’s ongoing security efforts particularly those led by Matawalle, Bakyasuwa argued that the Minister’s initiatives in tackling insecurity were far more effective than those of the current PDP-led administration in Zamfara under Governor Dauda Lawal.

“As someone who served in Matawalle’s administration, I can testify to the bold steps he took to address security issues. Even now as Minister, he is doing an excellent job to ensure lasting peace and stability,” he said.

Bakyasuwa reiterated his commitment to remain a loyal APC member and vowed to continue promoting the party across Zamfara.
