Gov Radda of Katsina holds inaugural Ministerial Briefings with Heads of MDAs

The Katsina State Governor, Mr Umar Dikko  Radda, has received heads of government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, at the Katsina Government House for ministerial briefing.

This was revealed in a press statement signed and made available to journalists in Katsina by the Chief Press secretary to the governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed who said the heads of the MDAs’ were at Government house for a Ministerial Briefing with the governor, who assumed office two weeks ago.

In the statement, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, revealed that Hon. Faruk Jobe, the Deputy Governor; Architect Ahmed Dangiwa, Secretary to the State Government; and some few top government officials, joined governor Dikko at the briefing.

The Governor, in his welcome remarks, disclosed that the essence of the briefing was for his administration, which is barely two weeks old, to have a clear understanding of the MDAs’ mandates, the number of their staff, and also, their activities.

This, he said, is necessary for him and his team to understand the operations of the MDAs.

His words: “We have just spent a little over two weeks in the office. But we are trying very fast to know the happenings in the system”.

Mall. Dikko Radda, further observed that the outcome of the briefings will enable his government to chart a new course for an efficient and efficient Katsina civil service.

He said: “Every clarification we need, I am sure, we shall get at these briefings. And thereafter, we can tell you our observations.

“Another rationale for organizing this meeting is for us to get to know the status of the projects you have undertaken, and how much you have disbursed for them. So that we can offer our input on how to complete their executions”.

The Governor, meanwhile solicited their cooperation and support towards implementing the strategic policies and programs his administration will be launching.
