In a bid to alleviate the hardships faced by victims of banditry in the region, Senator Sahabi Alhaji Ya’u, representing Zamfara North, has donated the sum of N11,500,000 to the affected residents of Zurmi Local Government Area.
The donation aims to provide immediate relief to those battling the severe impact of banditry activities.
The senator facilitated the distribution of the funds through a dedicated committee led by Alhaji Usman Moyi Kaura. The committee handed over the funds to Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Dauran, popularly known as Justice, who is overseeing the disbursement across the eleven wards of Zurmi LGA.
“The donation was to support victims of banditry in the Zurmi local government area as provided by distinguished senator Sahabi Ya’u Kaura,” said Alhaji Usman Moyi Kaura, the committee chairman.
Senator Sahabi Ya’u represents Zamfara North, which includes the local government areas of Kaura Namoda, Birnin Magaji, Shinkafi, and Zurmi.
“This financial support is part of a broader effort by the senator to assist his constituents. Previous initiatives have included the construction of road networks, the installation of motorized boreholes, and various skills acquisition programs among numerous others.” Usman Moyi said
The senator’s contributions are part of ongoing efforts to address the critical needs of the communities affected by insecurity and to promote development and stability in Zamfara North.
