Zamfara APC Condemns Attack on Party Chieftain Sani Shinkafi

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly condemned the attack on one of its chieftains, Hon. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, during a wedding ceremony at Rabi’a Jum’at Mosque in Gusau on Friday.

The condemnation was contained in a press statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, on Saturday.

The APC expressed shock over the incident, describing it as an embarrassment orchestrated by some unruly youths who disrupted the wedding fatiha of Alhaji Siddi Daki Takwas’ children.

The party noted that such behavior is uncommon among its generally well-disciplined youth members, emphasizing that grievances should be addressed through established party channels.

“As a responsible party, we want to reassure all our loyal members, big or small, especially the leaders, that we shall always do whatever necessary to protect them,” the statement read.

The APC also warned against future acts of indiscipline and urged members to follow proper procedures for resolving disputes. The party pledged to ensure that those involved in the attack are arrested and prosecuted according to the law.

The statement concluded by reiterating the APC’s commitment to upholding justice for all members and maintaining the privileges guaranteed by the nation’s constitution.
