Troops of forward Operation under Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara state have foiled attack on Anka town of Anka local government and killed one bandit today (Monday)
Reports received by ‘Media Smarts’ from the area said, the troops who acted on intelligence report about the terrorists move to attack the town engaged the Bandits in a gun duel which lasted for several hours.

Reliable source within the military disclosed that, the troops conducted a fighting patrol to the Bandits route at Unguwar mai-Rakumi village in Anka local government area and gun battle insued .
However the troops overpowered the Bandits and force them to retreat during which one bandit was killed and 1 motorcycle, 1 AK-47, large quantity of 7.62mm ammunition were recovered.
The troops have continue to dominate the general area in order to capture, killed and deny them freedom jeubbandis
